A very interesting debate indeed.
There are people on one side who don't go anymore for whatever reason.
Then there are people on the other side who have a vision for the club, but other than waving flags around on a Sunday provide little else.
Some people wish to stop others from participating because of their ideas, yet do not put their hat in the ring to roll their sleeves up and work, which is the only way that they should really be legitimising their claims.
There will be those that will take this as an attack for whatever paranoid reason, but the reality is what it is.

Some people turn up to an AGM and have their say. Fantastic. But someone has to work the bars, gates, stock the fridges, cook the cevape and whatever else needs doing.
I too can put my thoughts across this forum or at an AGM, but they should only be taken as suggestions, not as a template on who is or isn't welcome at the club - because if you think your $10 at the gate entitles you to solit pamet of people that put in hundreds of hours of time probably better spent raising their own kids, then you are living in some BBB lala land where a handful of people hold a club to ransom, with little foundation upon which to hang their hat.

Me, I have no real reason for not coming to games or for my general lack of interest.
I agree on the point about the poor quality football though. It is utterly atrocious, as is Australian football in general.

I much prefer to participate at a local club level since the Knights are no longer in the NSL and have absolutely no hope of ever reaching that level again.
I have thrown my hat in to again help out my Provy league Cro club this season after hanging up the boots.

The people involved play for the club and run the club. They are not paid to do either, and those who put in the hard yards have a say in how it is run.
This unfortunately is not the case down at Somers Street. For decades everyone has had a say, and everyone has had an agenda. Some good, some not so good, some almost treason.

You can't be anti-establishment and expect the establishment to take things on board. To do this, you need to become the establishment yourself, otherwise, you'll blow and blow but never blow the house down.

All comments welcome.
