I think quite simply peoplefind it hard to forget the corruption ion the past. That's why they stay away. The perception of the gangland running the club to clean dirty money and brothel sponsorships reinforced to them why they stay away and will continue to stay away. The next board could have the best of intentions but they wont escape the past.

The recent reigime no doubt turned people away but the supporterbase for the most part had turned away before that. Alot of these people use the whole corruption arguement but these very same people had no problem with the club during the NSL years when the club was truly filled with corruption, back stabbing, politics, theft etc. They had no problem in those years when all that underhanded, dirty business ran rampant, yet they like to use that as examples of why they no longer go, of how they were burned as supporters. Yet these same people didn't decide then to turn their back when this was all actually happening, they only did it once the club dropped out of the NSL. When there was no longer the so called 'glamour' of the NSL. When the Knights ceased to become the 'thing to do' on a Sunday arvo for the Croatian community, only then did these people stop coming.
